No more Steve Urkel

Last Friday, Zadyn had his tonsils & adenoids removed. I was a hot mess.  Dusty, being the rock that he is, thankfully never showed his anxiety. Zadyn was a little nervous before going under, which terrified me. 26 minutes later, the doctor came out with a thumbs up and was happy to report that all went well. We got to go in the recovery room where my babe was still sleeping. (how tiny does he look!?) Once awake, he had to drink a lot of water before he could be released. This was no easy task. In between his tears and coughs that sounded like he was about to spew chunks everywhere, he was still scared and not sure of his surroundings. Through his sobs, he said, "I want Gacy" (that's what he calls her:)) As soon as big sis entered the room with a massive bouquet of balloons, all was well in his world. He starting to drink and soon after was released.
Once we were home, and his meds started kicking in, he was fine! He was still my rambunctious rowdy boy; for a few days.... After the 3rd day, we was all about the naps...and that's about it! That was A-OK with me, because that meant that he only wanted me & I got to swaddle him (yes, I said swaddle) like a little bitty tiny baby. The hubs thought I was ridiculous, but I didn't care. When else am I going to have the chance to do that again?! He had lots of visitors and so many get well gifts. We are so blessed with friends that care about the well being our little guy.
Liquid loretab anyone???

Ramen Noodles & capri sun.....the dinner of champions!

My one fear about this operation (well not my only fear, but a fear non the less), was that his voice would change, Sadly it has. He still has his Okie twang, but he doesn't sound nasally anymore. Believe it or not, that breaks my heart. At least he's feeling better and starting to act like his old self again. Even if he doesn't sound like it.
